Tamar Rose Lubell, MD

Overview
Dr. Tamar Lubell is a board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physician and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (in Emergency Medicine) at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She has more than 10 years of experience caring for acutely injured and critically ill children.
Dr. Lubell’s primary academic interest is in the diagnostic approach to children with fever. Her research focuses on the diagnosis and prognosis of infants and young children with urinary tract infections, the evaluation of children with prolonged fever, and serious infections in children with solid organ transplants. She is also the director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Research Intern Program.
Dr. Lubell is a graduate of the McGill University Faculty of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at New York University/Bellevue Hospital, and fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. She currently practices in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the NewYork-Presbyterian-Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
