Overview
Dr. Delna John is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and practices at the Emergency Department at NYP Lawrence Hospital and at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She joined the department in July 2021. Dr. John finished a four-year emergency medicine residency at Kings County Hospital/SUNY Downstate, serving as chief resident during her final year. She then finished a one-year fellowship in Simulation with the Department of Emergency Medicine at NYU Langone, working at both the adult Emergency Departments at NYU Langone and Bellevue Hospital. She has a strong interest in education and clinical improvement through medical simulation, and hopes to continue working through simulation to help educate residents, medical students, and to improve team dynamics in the clinical area.
