    The purpose of this research study is to evaluate how commonly drug overdoses in our community involve fentanyl and xylazine. We know that often drugs such as heroin, oxycontin, and even cocaine and methamphetamine, actually contain these additives, even though the person buying the drugs is not aware.

    The purposes of this study are (1) to determine clinical outcomes for infants 90 days with viral LRTIs across the spectrum of viral pathogens, (2) to derive a preliminary prediction model to stratify illness severity in infants 90 days with viral LRTIs and (3) to identify RSV genotypes associated with severe illness in infants 90 days with RSV LRTIs.

Sepsis, an indiscriminate systemic condition that escalates so rapidly, national guidelines recommend treatment begin within 20 minutes of arrival to the emergency department.   • The Role of the Antibiotic, Azithromycin in Treating Preschoolers with a Severe Wheezing Episode

    The goal of this study is to determine if treating acute wheezing episodes with a 5-day course of an antibiotic called, Azithromycin is effective in shortening the duration and preventing future wheezing episodes. Azithromycin is an antibiotic taken by mouth.
